Lacloche Frères Paris Jadeite, Enamel and Diamond Vanity Case in 18k Yellow Gold, circa 1927

The hinged rectangular box applied with black enamel, centering upon a shòu character set with rose-cut diamonds, flanked by two pierced jadeite carvings inset with single-cut diamonds, outlined by blue enamel, opening to reveal a powder compact and a fitted mirror, mounted in 18 karat gold. Signed Lacloche Frères, Paris, with maker's mark for Strauss Allard Meyer, with British hallmarks for 18k gold, circa 1927. Dimensions approx. 77 x 48 x 13 mm.
