Friedrich Köchli Star Sapphire, Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire Inkwell in Yellow Gold and Rose Gold, circa 1900

Casted with undulating foliate motif throughout, the hinged lid set with a cabochon star sapphire, fitted with glass liner, mounted in yellow gold and rose gold. Workmaster Friedrich Köchli, St. Petersburg, circa 1900. The star sapphire probably from Ceylon. Dimensions: approx. 87 x 87 x 61mm. Titling hallmark: 56 with head on the right in oval. Bears a stamp with inscription in Cyrillic.
